Norman, a 3-year-old French sheep dog, is training to set a Guinness World Record by riding a scooter 98 feet -- all by himself.
Watch the video to see Norman in training. He mounts the scooter, pushes off and rides as if he were a thrill-seeking teenager. Friends, neighbors and passing cars watch in awe as Norman cruises down the street, fur flying in the wind.
Norman will make the record-setting attempt on Friday in Marietta, Ga., at the All Tournament Players Park. He has to ride for 98 feet, approximately 30 meters, in less than 30 seconds.
The event will raise money for Road Trip Home, a Georgia-based group that rescues animals from high kill shelters.
