Max, the 7-year-old Siberian Husky, was the victim of a deadly love triangle on the upper East Side.
An adorable canine model became the casualty of a hot-headed battle over an upper East Side barista on Sunday.
The 7-year-old Siberian Husky named Max, who was the face of Psyberia Dry Goods clothing line, was pinned against scaffolding at E. 88th St. and Lexington Ave. about 7:45 a.m. Sunday when a jealous ex-boyfriend allegedly tried to run down his former flame's new man - twice.

'Max was a good dog,' the stunned owner Dejan Piskacek told the Daily News at his apartment Tuesday.
Wilfredo Vega, 23, was allegedly trying to run over Piskacek, 32, who said the coffee shop girl they took turns dating went back to Vega in the midst of the Sunday morning sparring.

It started when Piskacek and the woman, who was not named, were out walking Max. Vega drove up to the pair, the alleged victim said.
'He threatened to beat me with a baseball bat. He said, 'You're a b----,' flicked a cigarette at me and tried to run me down.

'I said to him, 'Let's talk to her and see what she wants to do' . . . I was being a gentleman,' Piskacek said.
Things escalated when the girlfriend got into Vega's car. Still peeved, Vega backed up his car and aimed for Piskacek, who 'started running to hide behind the scaffolding.'
'Max didn't make it,' he added. 'He pinned Max to the scaffolding.'
Vega was charged with attempted assault, reckless endangerment and overdriving, torturing and injuring an animal. He was held on $5,000 bail after his arraignment Monday night.
Vega was arrested in January for punching his sister at his Queens home, and was charged with attacking another person with a baseball bat in Brooklyn three weeks later, records show.
